Capital Stewardship Pledge

I am, hereby, pledging that I will be a leader for
change in helping to secure the future of an
affordable and livable retirement for myself, my fellow Union
brothers and sisters, and for all working Americans by:
• Demanding to be given information about the financial
state of my pension fund and how it is supporting worker
and community friendly investments at regular Union
membership meetings, in newsletters, and in other forms
of media
• Working with my Local Union to support and develop
contract campaigns to maintain a strong defined benefit
pension plan for all existing and new employees, including
attending meetings, rallies, making phone calls, visits,
etc.
• Working with my Local Union and other activists to
pressure politicians to fix the pending retirement crisis by
making phone calls, visits, attending rallies, writing letters,
etc.
